Instruction manual for your Smart Mirror
Turn on & off
Hold the touch button for 3 seconds to turn it on or off.
Basic settings - at a glance

Turn on the smart mirror and wait for the home screen to appear.

Tap the Settings icon (represented as a gear) on the home screen to open the basic settings.

Make sure you have your WiFi and Gmail or Google password ready.
-
Connect your smart mirror to your WiFi by tapping on "Wi-Fi" and selecting the desired network.
-
Turn on Bluetooth if you want to connect additional Bluetooth-enabled devices to your mirror.
-
If you want to create different users, you can set this up under "Users". Each user can set the color of their icons and each has their favorite apps on the home screen.

Select your preferred language under "Language".

Configure the motion sensor and standby times under "Advanced Settings".

If required, enter your Gmail or Google account login details to access the Google Play Store.
Basic settings - step by step
Turn on the smart mirror and wait for the home screen to appear.
Tap the Settings icon (represented as a gear) on the home screen to open the basic settings.
In this menu you set up the basic things of your mirror. Come back to this menu if your network information changes.

W-LAN: Connect your smart mirror to your W-LAN. Attention: if the mirror is already connected with a LAN cable, you can skip this step.

BLUETOOTH: If you would like to connect additional Bluetooth-enabled devices to your mirror, switch on Bluetooth.

User: Would you like to create different users? Here's how you can set this up. You can set up new users at any time. The user can set the color of his icons and always has his favorite apps on the home screen. All users are connected to the same Google account.

Language: Here you can choose between German and English. Other languages are stored in the Android settings.

Advanced settings:

Motion sensor: Set the motion sensor on or off here. You can also set the standby times here. If there is no movement in the vicinity of the mirror, it switches to sleep mode.

Factory setting: Here you can completely reset the mirror.

Reboot: The occasional reboot is recommended.

To get the most out of your smart mirror, you need access to the Google Playstore.
This is located in the widget: app list
Enter your login data. After successful entry, you can load your apps already associated with the Google account onto your smart mirror. At any time you can alsodownload cool apps.
Hint: If you do not have a Gmail or Google account, you have three options to expand your smart mirror with additional apps:

Sign up for a free Gmail account. Go upwww.gmail.comand open an email account.

Load an alternative Playstore via an internet browser or via a USB stick.

Load apps via a USB stick.

personalization: Adjust the GC Smart Mirror to your individual needs. For example, change the brightness and color temperature of the mirror or choose your favorite home screen widgets.
Brightness and color temperature of your LED mirror:
Your mirror is equipped with a touch button that is integrated directly into the mirror. By pressing the touch button you can control the color temperature and brightness of the LED lighting.
To adjust the color temperature, press the touch button once. You will now see the color of the light changing from cool white to warm white. Simply select the desired color temperature and release the touch button.
To adjust the brightness of the light, press and hold the touch button until the light slowly becomes brighter or dimmer. As soon as you have reached the desired brightness, release the touch button.
Your mirror offers a multitude of possibilities to create the perfect lighting experience. You are also welcome to watch the video for operation:
Personalization of your widgets on the home screen:

You have a total of seven widgets available on your home screen. Of these seven widgets, three are freely selectable and can be added or removed as you wish.

The other four widgets are fixed and cannot be removed. These are: Google Shortcut, Music Player, Weather and App List.

To add an app widget, tap the "Add Widget" icon on your home screen. The icon is represented as a plus sign and is usually located at the bottom of the screen.

Select the desired app widget from the list and drag it to the home screen. You can place the widget where you want it by simply dragging it there.

If you want to remove an app widget, just press and hold it and drag it to the trash. The widget will then be removed and no longer displayed on your home screen.

Select the "Add App" tape and drag it to the middle of the display.

Now click on the big plus sign.

The App List is displayed. Now select your desired APP.
Disconnect widget with desired APP

Select the tape you want.

Press and hold the APP logo until the "Remove app" window opens

Confirm this with "OK"
Voice control:Use the practical voice control function to start your favorite apps, send messages or play music.
Your mirror is already equipped with Google voice control and Alexa can also be downloaded via Playstore. Here is more information on using both voice controls:
Google voice control:
To use Google voice control, you must first learn your language on Google. To do this, proceed as follows:

Go to the settings on your mirror.

Select "Language & input".
-
Select "Google voice typing".
-
Select "Select language".
-
Select your preferred language from the list and follow the instructions to learn your language on Google.
After learning your language on Google, you can use voice control by simply saying "OK Google". You can then ask your request or question and Google voice control will answer you.
Alexa Voice Control:
To use Alexa voice control, you must first download the app from Playstore and install it on your smart mirror. You then need to touch the mirror once to activate Alexa.
Once Alexa is enabled, you can submit your request or question and Alexa will respond to you.
Smart home integration:Connect the GC Smart Mirror to your smart home system, for example to control the temperature or the light in your home.
We are happy to explain how you can connect your smart mirror to your Android-based smart home system.
Step 1: Download the relevant app
First you have to download the corresponding app for your smart home system from the Playstore. Generally, you can download this app for free. Search and download the app recommended for your smart home system in Playstore.
Step 2: Login to the app
Open the app and log in with your credentials. If you don't have an account yet, you can register in the app.
Step 3: Establish connection
After you have logged into the app, you need to establish the connection between your smart mirror and the smart home system. To do this, you usually have to go to the "Add devices" or "Connect device" option in the app's settings.
Then select the smart mirror from the list of available devices. The app may prompt you to connect by putting the smart mirror in pairing mode. To do this, follow the instructions in the app.
Once connected, you should be able to find various settings for the smart mirror in the app, such as the ability to control different functions or scenarios.
Please note that the exact steps to connect to your smart home system may vary by system and app. We therefore recommend that you carefully read and follow the instructions in the app and the instructions of the smart mirror.
Music and video streaming:Enjoy your favorite music or movies through the GC Smart Mirror's built-in speakers or connect the device to your Bluetooth-enabled sound system.
Here is a guide for the two ways of streaming music to your GC Smart Mirror:

Music player widget: You can find the music player widget on your mirror's home screen. Tap on it to open the player. To load music, click the "Add Music" button. Then select the music files you want to store on your mirror. Once you've loaded your music, you can play it through the music player. Use the onscreen controls to control your music.

Music Streaming Services:You can also play music from various streaming services on your GC Smart Mirror. You will find pre-installed apps such as Deezer, Spotify and Youtube on your home screen. Just tap on the relevant app to open it. Then log in to your account and search for your favorite music. Once you've found your music, you can play it through the mirror's built-in speakers or through your Bluetooth-enabled sound system. Use the controls in the app to control playback.

An app fails to load / crashes. Not all apps are compatible with the smart mirror. Contact our support for possible solutions.support@mues-tec.de

An app looks warped. Apps developed on edge, primarily for mobile phones, for example, can appear warped. The screen in split screen can be used as a solution here.
